Bollywood and Marathi actor Shreyas Talpade left everyone worried when he suffered a heart attack on Thursday night. After undergoing an angioplasty the same night at the Bellevue Hospital, Andheri in Mumbai, the officials confirmed that he was in stable condition. Now, on Friday afternoon, the actor’s wife Deepti Talpade has issued a statement by sharing an update on his health.
Expressing her heartfelt gratitude for all the overwhelming well-wishes and love, she stated that her husband is doing fine. In a statement, the 47-year-old’s wife revealed that he is in stable condition and will be discharged soon. Quoted by Times Now News, a part of her statement read, “I'm relieved to update everyone that he is now in stable condition and will be discharged in a few days. Deepti went on to request everyone to respect their privacy as Shreyas continues to recover from the health scare. For those unaware, the actor started feeling uneasy as he returned home after completing Welcome To The Jungle’s shoot. He was soon rushed to the hospital by his wife. Quoted by Bollywood Life, a source said, “He shot through the day, was absolutely fine and joking around with everyone on the set. He even shot sequences that had a bit of action. After finishing the shoot, he went back home and told his wife that he was feeling uneasy. She rushed him to the hospital but he collapsed on the way.”
On the work front, Shreyas Talpade will return to the big screens as former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency. A period political drama, the movie is based on the emergency period in India during the mid-70s, which was announced by the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. He will also be seen in the multi-starrer Welcome To The Jungle, the shoot for the same started on Thursday.
